Opened on August 15, 1843, Tivoli is one of the oldest amusement park in Europe (Disneyland was partially inspired by this garden). Its founder, Georg Carstensen (b. 1812 - d. 1857) obtained a five-year charter to create Tivoli by telling King Christian VIII that "when the people are amusing themselves, they do not think about politics." (yeah, right!!)

perhaps we can have our own 'Disneyland' in Malaysia.... yeehaaa!!

whoopsss ..correction...i mean Georg Carstensen is rite!!!not trivoli....err... trivoli is the name of the park and perhaps one day Malaysia will have our own Trivoli...hohoho...
